"With release e-mail, Nichol supporters feel lost"
The Flat Hat
November 16, 2007
From my weekly opinions column. Analyzes an e-mail released by College President Gene Nichol which some say indicated he had lied when he said he had not known about a withdrawn $12M donation. Discusses the campus reaction to the e-mail and predicts, accurately, that this e-mail will become the turning point at which Nichol's increasingly entrenched supporters among the student body and administration will wan in their support and, ultimately, lead to Nichol's firing.
This column was linked to by several dozen blogs, including on US News & World Report and Dinesh D'Souza's blog on AOL.
